About the Restaurant
AA rosette for culinary excellence. The Harbour Restaurant at The Metropole looks out over the harbour town of Padstow and the Camel estuary. We enjoy serving well cooked local food within a professional yet relaxed environment. Our light and airy restaurant offers the perfect get away from the business of the town.
Our Cafe Bar is a real treat for lunchtimes - space and time to enjoy a relaxing lunch.
Most of our wines come from Wadebridge Wines, a real treasure trove of great vintages and our Doom Bar is really good too!

To start...
- Pan seared gurnard, chorizo mash, saffron veloute
- Confit duck roulade, with a chicory and orange salad
- Red onion gallete, goats cheese mousse, roasted red peppers and pine nuts
To follow...
- Pan roasted duck breast with dauphinoise potatoes, braised puy lentils, wilted spinach and a Madeira jus
- Oven roasted fillet of haddock with crab crushed new potatoes, crushed garden peas, confit tomato and a shellfish and tomato butter sauce
- Grilled fillet of lemon sole with turned new potatoes, braised fennel, purple broccoli and a brown shrimp and baby caper beurre noisette
To finish...
- Iced toffee parfait with banana fritters
- Steamed marmalade sponge pudding with vanilla custard
- Chocolate fondant with Bailey's frappuccino and chocolate sorbet (please allow 10 mins for this dessert)
