Visit the Delightfully Tasty Cornwall Food and Drink Festival

Great restaurants and delicious food is very important to the people of Cornwall. To help visitors choose where they will eat, this site features a list of Cornish Accredited Restaurants.

In fact, the locals here love food so much that they hold the Cornwall Food and Drink Festival every year. This year, it will take place from the 23rd to the 25th of September and is set to feature plenty of food-related things to see and do. So this weekend, make sure you put off watching the television, or playing Cheeky Bingo, and head down to the Lemon Quay, Truro.

This festival is the perfect place to experience local food and drink. You will really be able to experience the essence of Cornish food and drink in a great, food-lovers atmosphere. This will be the eighth year of the festival, so it certainly must be doing something right.

There is a lot planned for this years experience, including a theatre where you can check out professional demonstrations by very talented chefs from all around Cornwall. Headlined by Nathan Outlaw, there will be great entertainment and fun challenges.

If you want to purchase some lovely Cornish food for yourself, go to the Farmer's Market, a lot of which will be available for all three days. And if it rains, do not despair as the Food and Drink Pavilion is situated undercover.

A great place for kids to hang out is the Funky Food Zone, to be found in Tinners' Court. There will be food facts and fun activities to do, all centred around the theme of harvest. Visitors can press apples, grind corn to make flour, taste some delightful cheeses and even sit on a mini tractor.

Entry to the festival is free, so there is really no excuse. If you love food and are in the area, come down and experience the taste.
